Whale Park

Head on down to Banya for a fin-tastic time at Whale Park!

Inspired by Australia’s iconic albino Humpback Whale ‘Migaloo’, Whale Park is designed to promote imaginative play and ultimately increase the awareness of our endemic fauna.

All-aboard the whale-spotting ship

A large whale structure rests in sand under shaded sails at the playground’s centre, and is equipped with climbing nets, slides and swings; whilst barnacles (otherwise known as a rock-climbing wall!) allow children to clamber up the whale’s tail.

Children will have a whale of a time on the surrounding playground activities which include a number of slides and swings. Here, there is also a ship which is docked and ready for an adventure!

There is a basketball half-court to shoot some hoops, and a bike path circuit which snakes through and around the park.

Enjoy views out towards the Glasshouse Mountains and watch children play from a number of seating spaces positioned throughout the park.

Whale park has also been designed with families’ needs in mind. Undercover picnic tables as well as electric BBQs and toilets, makes this park perfectly equipped for birthday parties and gatherings.
