Parks & Playground
A variety of architectural structures and an abundance of green landscaping creates an exciting, dynamic play space for the whole family at Lukin Park.
Set in the heart of Baringa, 100m from the 606 bus stop on Baringa Drive, Lukin Park was created by the talented team at Place Design Group to deliver a strong, urban park offering a series of engaging public spaces for a wide variety of users in Aura’s community.
The main playground’s multi-level caged structure is built for climbing and exploring through various elements. The exterior frame includes a rock-climbing wall and within the top of the frame is an enclosed tunnel slide.
On one side of the caged playframe is a sheltered seating area, and positioned on the other side is a series of climbing and monkey bars. There are also a number of outdoor exercise stations to try.
Large sails cover the entire area which is also surrounded by bike paths, lined with subtropical trees.
Beyond the playground is a large open grassed area, perfect for picnics and ball games; and long concrete seating areas edge the space.
The whole area has been designed to easily keep an eye on children playing within this fun, family friendly space.
Lukin Park forms part of the ever-growing Aura park trail – a network of uniquely themed interconnected parks located throughout the community; and fulfils our vision to have a park within 400 metres of every home.
