Fig Tree Park

With its beautiful bushland backdrop, Fig Tree Park is a tranquil space for the whole family to enjoy.

As its name suggests, the playground is inspired by Moreton Bay Fig trees, with an impressive tree structure positioned atop a manmade plateau.

Equipped with enclosed slides and roped activities, the Fig Tree is mostly netted to allow kids to explore between the branches and obstacles. There’s a large metal tunnel slide for quick escapes from the treehouse, and suspended rubber steps to access the tree and a hammock hanging below.

Younger children will love the smaller playhouse equipped with two plastic slides, a fireman’s pole and musical elements. Large rocks or stepping stones in the sand lead to another playing zone offering a low-to-the-ground cargo net, climbing ropes, a range of swings over soft fall and a spinner nearby.

Surrounding the playground is a flying fox and rope balance equipment, whilst native established trees, leafy vines and shrubs envelope the entire area, providing plenty of cool shade. There are two separate undercover areas with picnic tables, and two electric BBQs, making this park a great option for group gatherings and children’s birthday parties.

Kids can scoot on various bike paths around the park, enjoy a large kickabout space, or pack a basketball and shoot some hoops on the half-court.

For any fur friends, Nirimba Dog Park is also located just around the corner from Fig Tree Park, and if you work up an appetite or need a coffee stop, Mummy’s café is only 1km down the road.
