The Sunshine Coast Health Research Showcase is an annual event that brings together leading researchers, and healthcare professionals from around the Sunshine Coast region to discuss and share the latest advancements in health research.

There will be a keynote presentation from Professor Alex Broom, Professor of Sociology and Director of the Sydney Centre for Health Societies, Faculty of Arts and Social Sciences, The University of Sydney. He is also Academic Director (SBE) at the Australian Research Council. Professor Broom is recognised as an international leader in sociology, with a specific interest in health, illness and care. His work takes a person-centred approach, qualitatively exploring the intersections of individual experience and social, political and economic context. His career has been dedicated to building inclusive, interdisciplinary research communities and translating scholarship into meaningful outcomes for policy, industry, and society. All of his work embodies the broad aim of generating insights and creative collaborations which foster health, wellbeing and care, across all forms of life on our planet.

The key note presentation will be followed by rapid fire presentations and digital poster displays.
